"Bys Vyken Fibre Processing was established to develop and manufacture a machine for the process decortication of hemp fibre and support the reintroduction of hemp as a staple agricultural commodity".

Dry crop decortication (fibre separation without retting) significantly reduces the amount of labour required for processing hemp fibre while also increasing the length and quality of the fibre produced. Hemp fibre produces cloth of the quality of cotton, with the lower environmental impact of Jute: the best of both worlds.

Ecosheek's MD has been involved with this project for many years and maintains a strong interest in it's success. Ecosheek will continue with this support and will, as soon as it is commercially viable, produce bags made from Hemp.
